THE BIG FREEZE

This past weekend our neck of the woods, ad all of New England for that matter, received a doozey of a snow storm. The storm was named Nemo which from general consensus was pretty lame. The storm itself however was not - dumping almost 30" of snow in our area over the course of a night. We had quite a few storms like this when i was a child that I can remember but in the past ten years or so they have been more scarce. Knowing it was coming, Travis rescheduled his tattoo clients foe the next 48 hrs and helped us prepare. He got a grocery run out of the way early in the day and we decided to head out for our first lunch as a family of four. we headed to our favorite luncheonette in town and the storm started as soon as we finished up our food. It was a perfect escape knowing we would be trapped in our house for the next day and as a bonus an easy trial run for leaving the house with a toddler and a newborn.

The snow fell, and fell, and fell. The next day Travis and Luna got all bundled up and headed out to play in the snow and dig out a walkway to our cars. I was so jealous of the fun they had out there in the beautiful bright snow scape but happily watches from the window cradling our new baby girl in the warmth of our home.

Almost a week later and the snow is still around...
and I just heard there's possibly another storm on the way!
