39 WKS ( + 2 days)

Taking early maternity leave is really looking up these days.  

Or maybe today I'm just done.

Wednesday I saw my 39 week mark and took it easy. We went to the playground and generally just played and rested. Easy enough right? The calm before the storm.

Yesterday was my weekly midwife appointment, a lunch date with Lu, a trip to Buy Buy Baby, more stop and go errands, a visit to Travis' tattoo shop and finally Yo Gabba Gabba Live. I woke up this morning exhausted. Done. Headache, backache, and pretty much giving up.

Thankfully Travis is on his mark this morning with taking care of Lu, making coffee + pancakes, rent rolled up (its another 1st!), and playing some of my most favorite Devendra Banhart songs. He'll leave for work in a few short hours and another super pregnant maternity leave day begins for me and Luna. I'll think I'll be fine if I could just kick this headache. I'll keep up with water and resting and hopefully get a burst of energy to do something worthwhile and creative this afternoon. After all, it's Friday right?

Lastly pretty psyched that I rallied up the guts to do that Mama Style linkup earlier in the week. One of my favorite bloggers Casey picked me as one of her top 4 entries! What a lift on this not feeling so great day! <3

 E D I T : my day has seriously turned around. Getting dressed and being productive with Travis has made all the difference. We deep cleaned the bedroom, inflated and setup the birthing pool, and had a great morning together. Lu and I are now eating a lunch of english muffins with peanut butter and sharing an avocado. We might just keep this posi-swing in motion and top it off with a homemade chocolate milk shake before laying down for an afternoon nap. Mood is everything people.
