T H I R T Y - F I V E - W K S

WOW. Hi.
It's alfalfa time.
Or maybe you'd better understand my alarm if I told you my friend who was only 3 weeks ahead of me in our pregnancies
HAD HER BABY YESTERDAY
So yeah, umm, that was supposed to be my warning sign but it wasn't supposed to come for a few more weeks.
Now I'm all - "Oh mah-gahhh this baby is coming!"

But then I exhale and sigh and assure myself she's not coming till I'm ready.
At least my to do list is still short:

  1. order baby hammock.
  2. did I wash everything already?
  3. setup the new Mamaroo Swing thats still in it's sealed box.
  4. load ipod with a birth playlist.
  5. put away any clutter in our bedroom or the nursery or how about the whole house.
  6. buy home birth supplies after week 37.
  7. start taking alfalfa.
  8. pack an emergency hospital bag in case I dont make it to 37 weeks or need to transport from home.
See I wasn't lying, its alfalfa time. On my midwife's recomendation I'll start with 1 tablet each day this week and increase by 1 tablet with every week that passes.

I pat myself on the back for having signed up for automatic oil delivery and not having to worry about hot water or heat with a newborn in the house. At least that's off my mind.

I'll see my midwife again on the 10th, and fingers crossed for a nice headown baby. I honestly can't tell anymore, what I think is a butt could be a head and what I think is a knee could be an elbow. What I do know is I've been walking a lot and my belly seems to have dropped in the last 72 hours. Even though you cant tell in these photos, I promise - she's a droppin'. I can only hope that means her head has come down and she's working on getting into the best position for birth over the next few weeks.

Hear that baby?  WEEKS.
I like my babies on time ya'll.
Not early, not late, please and thank you!

p.s. -  I know I have no control over when this baby comes, but a girl can try to dominate with positive thought right? Travis took these pics yesterday after our New Years Day lunch to document my 35th week of pregnancy. AMEN! Still rocking some buttoned non maternity skinny jeans and some cute new christmas moccs <3

You can also peep my limited edition Rebecca Minkoff Knocked Up baby bag in all black leather in these pics which I've been using for the past two years as my everyday office/diaper bag.
Travis took care of me this year and for Christmas gifted me with this new Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag! I'm in love. New baby, new bag!

p.s.s - my coat makes this baby look way bigger than she actually is.
Even with an estimated size of 6lbs at 34 weeks I expect this baby to be a little bit smaller compared to our almost 9lb Luna.

Today was the first day back from vacation at the office. It was ok, went pretty fast but left me with a headache this evening. I'm off to dreamland where I can hopefully rest for more than 2 hours at a time. My body is prepping me but I'm not ready to be prepped - more sleep please!
