MATERNITY LEAVE

Gosh I'm bored. Today was day 2 of my maternity leave and also Luna's one day a week of school. She goes from 8:30 to 4:00pm which is practically the whole day. After drop off Travis and I grabbed some coffee and drove around town. We drove to the ends of our local streets and checked out some of the remaining hurricane Sandy damage. There are still quite a few docks waiting for re-building and we even saw a few homes still awaiting repair. After driving around with our coffees and talking,  we stopped and picked up some bagels to enjoy at home. Once home and fed, I was really bored. I was caught up on laundry and there are only so many times you can rearrange your furniture (and I do it constantly). I cleaned out our spare room where we stash everything that doesn't already have a home. I made piles of what to donate, what to discard, and boxed up some things for storage in our attic. I did all of this while watching The Real Housewives of BH on my laptop. I cleaned some more. I reorganized our holistic medicine cabinet in the kitchen, I baked cookies. I laid down. I read. I generally did nothing and watched the time pass until I could pickup Luna from school. I was so excited to see her and walking through that door seeing the biggest smile she's ever had was such an amazing gift.

So tomorrow's another day and I'll try to find more to do. I'll turn in our recycling for $4.00 in quarters. I'll start going through the giant stash of vintage I've been hoarding. I'll week out my closet. I'll do my nails again. I'm very patiently waiting for this baby and still hope she doesn't come for at least a few more days. I'm really looking forward to a full day with just me and Luna tomorrow. The weather has been beautifully warm today and I hope it stays so there is a walk to the playground in tomorrows path.
